Hiring the hall

We are pleased that you're considering hiring the hall at St Alban's.  We're delighted to make our facilities available for the local community.  A variety of activities take place in the hall, from regular keep fit and dance classes, to children's parties and family celebrations.

Please make sure that you call the office (020 8769 5415) as soon as possible before the date you would like to book the hall, to check that the date you want will be available.

The Facilities

We can offer a large hall, a kitchen with fridge and a microwave; a unisex toilet, suitable for disabled access, and a small conservatory area.  In addition, we can offer for a small extra charge:

Tables (12) and chairs (60) for adults; also tables (6) and chairs (40) for children.

PRICES

Hire of all the facilities:      £20 an hour

Hire of tables and chairs     £5 per event

A refundable cash deposit of £50 is required on booking.

Full payment for hire of the hall is required at least 2 weeks before the event.  This can be paid by cash or cheque.  All hirers must give at least 2 weeks' notice of cancellation, or they will forfeit their deposit.

CONDITIONS OF HIRE

Please note the following conditions of hire, to be sure that the hall will suit your purposes:

  • We do not hire on a Sunday
  • Hire ends at 8pm (which includes clearing up time)
  • No alcohol
  • No smoking
  • No gambling
  • No religious ceremonies
  • No charge must be made to attend your event
  • The hall must not be sub-let to anyone else
  • All rubbish generated by the event must be cleared and taken with you

These restrictions are mainly in place because the church is situated in a largely residential area and we do not wish to cause any difficulties with our neighbours.  Please be aware that the £50 refundable deposit may be forfeited if these conditions are not met.
